Shingo Segawa has been working at the Institute for Ethics and History of Medicine since July 2021 as a research associate on the research project "Optimising the aging Brain? Situating Ethical Aspects of Dementia Prevention". His research focuses on biomedical ethics, philosophy of the person and social philosophy.
Shingo Segawa studied sociology and philosophy at Rikkyo University and Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. Following his master's degree, he completed his PhD for Philosophy 2020 on the concept of the person in biomedical ethics at the University of Münster, Germany.
