Julia Perry is a medical sociologist and a research associate at the Department of Medical Ethics and History of Medicine at the University Medical Center Göttingen since June 2017. In 2021, she was a research fellow at Drexel University’s Department of Health Administration in Philadelphia, PA, USA. She earned her PhD in 2024 from the University of Göttingen. Her dissertation addressed individual health decisions regarding early detection of Alzheimer’s disease and participation in dementia research. Her current research focuses on medical ethics issues related to informed consent and counseling in the areas of early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, (cognitive) vulnerability, and research ethics.
